Highway Maintenance Worker – full-time and part-time/seasonal positions

Full-time position includes benefits, some provided and some voluntary.  The position requires a class A commercial driver’s license or the ability to obtain the license within six months.

Part-time/Seasonal position – No benefits offered. The position does not require a class A commercial driver’s license but it is beneficial.

A highway maintenance worker performs all aspects of work related to the construction, maintenance and clear of roadways and other infrastructure related to the county highway system.  The employee should have basic mechanical skills, an ability to work with others, be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and work in all weather conditions during any time of the day or year.  The highway department current work 4 ten-hour days but may work alternate hours depending on existing needs.
